The Icarus Cycle is an ambitious cycle of new texts and dramatic performance projects inspired by ancient texts, disappeared civilisations, forgotten languages and the fragments of lost histories.

Works in The Icarus Cycle whilst being unique and aesthetically divergent from one another, share contemporary thematic concerns around social justice; the nature of power structures and female apotheosis. Projects in The Icarus Cycle develop through sequential phases of work, composed of :

i). new writing research: in-depth cross disciplinary research undertaken by the author, often held in collaboration with leading scholars, field experts, or research institutions;

ii). technical development workshops inside a technical setting, alongside performers and scenic artists.

iii). Creation and production phase / public dissemination of the work.
